Not my first choice when I want to stand out but makes me feel elegant on the daily. It just smells sexy. I really like this fragrance. I dont know, guys. Ive only had this a day as of yet but Im really thinking this will potentially be a new favourite of mine! This is a heavy dose of blackcurrent and woods. I honestly dont understand the hype. A smooth, inoffensive, feminine woody vanilla with a bit of sweetness to it as well. This is so good! I also got tea and looking at the ingredients it does indeed have jasmine tea in it. I think wood in my scents will always be a favourite note of mine but to some it often makes a scent smell more masculine, but surprisingly not with this scent, it is still very womanly and feminine. Its kind of basic but in the best possible way. It smelled very sweet to me and at the time, I was not into sweet scents. This has quickly become a favorite of mine as well as a staple in my collection. Initially, I wasn't a huge fan. For me DBIR is a love love love . It is feminine classy all occasion scent perfect for all year round especially spring and summer, good performance! I finally own this beautiful perfume after sampling it many times. I predomidtly get blackcurrant and vanilla with a bit of jasmine. A sweet jasmine with a tiny bit of spicy-ness going in and out throughout the day. This is an average fruity designer scent. I just bought this today. I think this one will always be in my top favorites. I cant stop smelling my wrist. Totally different than the original Donna. I just had the chance to smell this yesterday. If you want to smell feminine but not too mature or too juvenile, this is the perfect in between. This is Libre to my nose, bold, sweet laundry detergent. I almost bought the original Donna as I liked it very much, but there was always some weird note when I tested it, that stopped me. The floral notes in this work so well together, but I do wish that I smelt more of the vanilla. I put it on at 6:30 pm and when I left for home at 8 am the next morning my friends could still smell it. Not worth the hype. I'm sorry to say this smells incredibly cheap to me, like walking into one of those discounted perfume mall shops. It doesn't project that much on me but lasts a good 5-6 hours. Seven hours later I can still smell it, and I used only a couple of sprays. My favorite accords. I can't stop smelling my wrist I need to hug someone right now, lol. So don't blind buy. Im wishing Id bought the 100 ml instead of the 50! All in all, I like this perfume, its just a little too heavy on the vanilla for me. Bought this thinking i would get a woody vanilla scent, as i had read from reviews. Shes classy and understated (I know sometimes these words are code for boring but not in this case). Sometimes the ones that are raved about are not my cup of tea but this one is def worth the hype. I will admit it's not the most unique or show-stopping fragrance. It has no lasting power what so ever Not worth the hype! Of course, take this as one voice in the crowd. It is sweet without being cloying and works for a variety of settings. Now the performance is insane. I can see why its a crowd pleaser and compliment getter. Delicious, indulgent custardy vanilla laced with syrupy blackcurrant. . It is perfect for any season, any occasion. It does dry down to a much sweeter and less juicy bright fragrance but still heavy on the floral and wood aspect. I really like this, which I didn't think I would upon first spray. I absolutely love this perfume. I bought the 10mL from Sephora. So a couple months later I picked the sample up again and sprayed on my skin, and wow. I was just expecting something else. Think about it enough to go to this website and write these silly little reviews Why? Born in Roma is easy to wear, all-purpose, crowd-pleasing, and classy. But theres something down at the bottom of this that spoils it for me. It's pretty woody vanilla with not too much sweetness, not very unique but it's pretty. Alcohol, Parfum / Fragrance, Aqua / Water, Benzyl Salicylate, Hydroxycitronellal, Benzyl Alcohol, Limonene , Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Linalool, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Isoeugenol, Methyl Anthranilate, Citronellol, Benzyl Benzoate, Coumarin, Geraniol, Benzyl Cinnamate, Tris(Tetramethylhydroxypiperidinol) Citrate, Citral, Farnesol, Eugenol, Ci 14700 / Red 4, Ci 60730 / Ext. It does last all day with predominantly woodsy notes so that's a plus if you're a fan. My only issue is longevity. I did get a small sample card to test and I didn't even use it up because I hated this so much. I love this for fall. Unfortunately Im not a fan of libre because it smells soapy to me but I could see myself wearing this if I had never smelled libre before. It lingered a lot on longer on my clothes though. Beautiful bottle and pink juice. It's uninteresting to the point that it almost smells like nothing to me. on my skin, she is a woody fruity floral with a bit of sweetness from the vanilla. (The only fragrance we love equally on my skin is Narciso For Her edp.). I was expecting a warm woody boozy vanilla. Sweet, fruity, syrupy and gourmand. It's toilet cleaner with chlorine. It was so faint. Love this one so much ! Lasting power is moderate. And I mean that in the best way possible. Its warm and comforting. Date night sexy. It smells expensive, pretty and clean but has a slightly heavy note, maybe has a hint of musk? Lasts all day and night. Perfectly unisex if you're into this style. There are pepper notes balanced with warm vanilla, making it a very cosy scent. Ive smelled it over 6 different occasions , and I dont get any sweetness. So easy to wear. Projection is good but lasting power is only about 4-5 hours until it becomes a skin scent. A date night perfume. It's definitely powdering, but it has a freshness after it dries down like you used a nice, woody soup. It could be a good day or night scent, very versatile. The vanilla and blackcurrant in this are so good together with the pink pepper note that makes it so spicy and unique and sets it apart from other popular sweet scents like Flowerbomb and Lancome La Vie Est Belle. That's what all the hubbub is about?" The bourbon vanilla is very prominent. wow this one is sweet. 
Smells very much like candy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but to me Born in Roma smells like more of a pre-teen perfume than something I would picture most adults wearing. If you are a fan of sweet, vanilla, woody scents, then this one is one you will probably love in your collection. It will most likely always be in my collection. Smells so good, I just wished it lasted longer and projected more. It smells amazing on its own but on my skin? I am really looking forward to wearing this in fall and winter , Would like to update and say this smells like fruit stripe gum to me. Vanilla Woods). Makes me smell like a walking flower bouquet! I am a fan of the original Valentino Donna and I got this as a gift for my birthday, about a year ago. The opening is beautiful, juicy, fruity, floral in the best way. That is not woody at all. Overall I really loved my free sample #bzzagent #freesample. I just purchased this and it's smells alot like Dolce Garden by Dolce Gabbana minus the coconut! i really like this! Anyway, in this version the weird note is even more noticable and I'm able to identify it. Musky, sweet, and powdery. When I first sprayed it, I got the generic smell you sometimes get with designer fragrances but you just let it settle, you know? Im so glad I finally caved into the hype and bought this. I was disappointed. Very feminine, soft, and sweet vanilla floral that develops slightly woody on me. this does not last more than 30 minutes why does nobody talk about this.? It kinda smells like a very sophisticated grape juice with vanilla lol. After an evening shower, I'll put on body butter and body oil and spray Born in Roma on top. I dont smell the vanilla it just has a strong jasmine scent which is overwhelming :( and I dont know why but it smells like a floral Shampoo to me. It's a boozy yet elegant vanilla but my only issue is that it dries down to a musk that smells like bug spray :( I'm literally crying because when you first spray it, it smells so BEAUTIFUL like a sunny day when you feel pretty. I am OBSESSED with this perfume. Ultra feminine. This isn't a *BAD* scent but I'd have to say I'm not a fan. A beautiful sweet floral! Valentino Ladies Donna Born In Roma (. Very generic. So for me it's definitely an evening/night out perfume. I am not getting the hype. It's a gentle and inoffensive scent. I have to say that is generic but agreable, festive and for the summer days. Its going in with my others that are available for my family and friends to use as they wish. Perfect in every way. Please read the Terms of Service and Privacy policy. It doesn't smell bad but it's just boring and flat to me, like they blended every popular new release together and bottled it. Personally not impressed. It's a lovely scent but I would definitely prefer it without the strong jasmine, although I'm sure that's what contributes to the longevity. However, you will smell this on everyone because it smells the same on everyone. It's a great all rounder and I would say a safe blind buy. I love those sweet frags! However, this is definitely not a vanilla dominant perfume to me. It's silky smooth, perfect sweet, pink vanilla purrs on my skin beautifully, even though many call this basic I'm in love with it. This is too screechy and sweet on my skin. Just not for everyday. Gonna go and wash it of my hand. The opening is pure juicy fruit, but once it starts to dry I can pick out the notes more distinctly and it becomes more refined while retaining its sweetness. :) What a beautiful fragrance! Love at first sniff! A fragrance can be generic, but still stand out amongst similar scents and this one does. Smelling this i wouldnt think oh what a nice vanilla perfume. Its a sweet airy scent but thats it. Im mostly ok with a fragrance packing a punch but I do spray this lightly because its one of the strongest and longest lasting perfumes Ive ever come across. On the plus side it seems well blended and inoffensive. Sure its a typical "pretty" scent but I totally understand why its popular! 
Its not a bad smell but not what I expected, now that Ive smelt it Im not so keen to purchase this one. Ill continue to test it in different weather. I tried "born in roma yellow dream", and "born in roma coral fantasy" and I have to say this, the original pink bottle born in roma is the best. Can't help but picture a gorgeous italian chic woman walking by and the summer breeze brings out her perfume and it's this one. BUT, just wait for the dry-down, and you will never want to be without it. It has a character, simple yet really attractivelike a natural, effortless beauty very low maintenance, easygoing, never difficult on anyone - It is one of my favorite designer fragrances, really divine! this kind of feels like a lighter, SS version of Dior Poison Addict but i might be making it up. Im kind of disappointed as its not what I expected but its not bad either. Whatever this projects pulls in compliments. she smells clean due to the white florals yet still has the girly vibe thanks to the sweetness of it. I do not care, though. I like powdery but this is a little too powdery for me. 
I can still subtly smell it hours later. smelt this one a friend and it was gorgeous i got a really strong gourmand and spicy vibe initially from this. I gotta save up to get that one rather than Valentino BIR. Very generic, cloyingly sweet, typical "designer" fragrance. Very nice for a women in late twenties- early thirties. At first I thought it was just alright, I liked it enough not to return it or give it away but didn't think I would repurchase when I'm done. I knew to give this perfume some wait time on my arm too see how it changes & it blends together so beautifully with the pink pepper, fruity notes and vanilla! born in roma is a musky, sweet bubblegum perfume and is probably the most likeable fragrance i have. Bright, sweet jasmine. You can even wear this date night and clubbing. And as someone who for some reason is very sensitive to expensive vanilla fragrances, I'm happy to report that this one does not make me feel sick (unlike Kay Ali vanilla and 7 Virtues(?) Tons of Jasmine but what I wanted was the vanilla and whatever was so captivating when I first sprayed. I may have to return this and try Gucci Flora. Could be a signature scent. After using it for a bit, it's one of my favorite fragrances in my collection. Just a completely different perfume in every facet. I wish I got the woodiness or black currant like other people get, but its just not there for me. Going to try to sell my full bottle. Like dirty vanilla with some sesame and bourbon or something, really truly awful and NOTHING like the way it smells off the bottle. I dont think its a safe blind buy because I dont think anything is but, if you like sweet than it may work for you. , I remember when this first came out and I was so attracted to this! Its definitely something to wear at night or in cold weather. It's cute but so generic and boring. Very well blended. This is super long lasting on me, even if i take a shower i can still smell it a little. When I wear this I'm wearing a pink floral dress with a biker jacket and cute boots, hair in the wind. This is beautifullllllllll, the men they smell this is like witchcraft, they come running lol. This fragrance screams "femininity" to me. The way this perfume is raved about made me think it was heaven. This is my night out perfume, although I would also wear during the day, and it's probably my most complimented one. Its a little boozy, a little sparkly but clean. I wore it a couple of times but I think I am going to sell it. Boy was I wrong. delicious. Probably my signature spring/summer scent from now on! I wish Fragrantica had an "I don't care" option between "Like" and "Dislike". What the hell are some of you smelling? I love layering this with A Thousand Wishes from Bath and Body Works. It smells like theyve tried to mix oil and water, the sweeteness and woodyness do not mesh well, its a rough blend. Very peppery floral, it doesnt remind me of any fragrance Ive tried before, which is a good indicator. This smells nice but also I am finding most floral perfumes these days smell the same to me. But as it sits it warms up with the black currant and bourbon vanilla and is just mesmerizing. The initial spray hit me in the face with straight jasmine, its all I could smell but not in the worst way. Wait for the dry down and the personality will come through. It smelled okay when I sprayed it on a piece of paper, but when I sprayed it on my skin it instantly gave me a headache. This is one of my favourite date night perfume. Very generic and boring sweet scent. It is very likable and can be worn every day. I wish it wasn't so expensive, i prefer the 30-100 euro range of fragrances so 84 euros for 30ml seemed a bit much to me. Not this one. The only thing I get on this one is unfortunately jasmine with lots of pink pepper and a hint of black currant. This was a completely underwhelming blind buy. The whole composition is bright, sweet, sultry, pretty, sparkling, comforting.a delicious sparkling bergamot citrus vanilla woody scent that's easy to wear and love. It goes into a plastic chemical direction. Not too sweet, very unique but still mainstream. I like to layer this with a heavy rose vanilla perfume. It feels unbalanced and not sophisticated. I do not like this at all, it was so far away from what i was expecting it to be. Warning. The drydown is still very woody but nice vanilla is coming through. The word toasty comes to mind when smelling this. Don't be intimidated by the ultra sweetness up-front - that only lasts for about 15 minutes before it settles into a beautifully mellow fruity spicy vanilla. This is probably my favourite perfume at the moment. Generic in a good way. Begins quite fruity, then settles into jasmine tea sweetened softly by the fruit and vanilla. I love the men's version very much. Maybe this DNA is just super popular now, so a department store WOULD smell like this but not worth the hype. I think this fragrance is a very safe blind buy. But in the base there is a strange overpowering synthetic note that I dont like so much, the same note is present in Light Blue Intense, musk and/or amberwood. Definitely not impressed whatsoever, but the bottles pretty. Soft spicy as the wood is not loud. But it's not long lasting and the sillage is not so good. However, I do notice that for some reason the vanilla scent tends to sit closer to my skin but when I'm moving I only catch whiffs of the fruity notes. My reaction each time: "Immediately no.". In my opinion, this is masterfully formulated because its distinctively different as it goes through stages on skin. I was very sad. Kind of remember me Oh so sweet of Marc Jacob or Dolce lily. It's fruity and soapy on me. Vanilla. Moments after I sprayed it my husband said from another room "smells pretty!" As I opened the perfume to smell it (it was warmed but by the summer heat) I put it in the fridge. But it didnt impress me at all. A nice bit of vanilla without being to sweet, a good amount of fruity/floral. It's perfection. Donna Born in Roma has some of my favorite notes in perfume - black currant, jasmine and vanilla. I couldnt smell most of the notes that it claims to have. Violet 2. It is sweet, powdery, woody and very well balanced by the bergamot. While this has good lasting power, I find it to be a very light scent. Of course, my husband manages to detect this one, and he really likes it! After almost 5 months I didnt feel the need to get a bigger bottle. Im in love again and wondered why I past this up so many times, I probably realized it wasnt going anywhere since it had first come out! The OG is a beautiful powdery iris that smells makeup-y, the lasting power however did not last. Valentino Donna Born In Roma Eau de Parfum is a modern haute couture floriental vanilla perfume. I will buy bottle after bottle so I can keep wearing and spraying throughout the day/night I wear it. AndWhen I unwrapped my presents, I didn't smell this perfume at all. Glad I used my PC points to pay for it. Yeah I'll stick with voce viva. I ordered a sample on a selling website and finally received it! Id use this for any season, but maybe not the heat of summer, except possibly at night. It reminds me of being in a green flowy dress hiking in the woods with the love of your life. very blind buy safe and I would recommend it for anyone. Longevity is moderate and projection/sillage is moderate as well.
