So if you are thinking of this in a kitchen or heavily used area I would definitely think twice. But cutting real porcelain tile takes more care than softer bodied ceramic. The surface of the tile is flat and smooth, easy to keep clean and will hold a finish. it is also harder than granite. Admittedly I am not scrubbing it constantly, but even when I do it doesnt come our really clean. Although it won't bring it back completely, try mixing Oxyclean at twice the concentration they recommend on the side of the container, and scrub the joints with a brush.
