It helps keep your seams accurate when your fingers cant do it for you. After a bit of practice, it cuts piecing time in half! And all this time I have struggled with 1/4 inch seams. Love clover clips!!! The thimble pads are great and last a long time. Its also only about 1 1/2 square in size, so its very easy to use and manoeuvre under the machine foot. I use my dining room table to pin baste most of my larger projects, but found that I was digging into the finish with the pins. I dread triangles because I can never, ever get them accurate. I use it everytime I am in my workspace to clean up stray threads. 
My favorite tool is the Wing Clipper. Not too tall, not too short. You never have to worry, ever, having any marking showing through, they just fade away. I am new to quilting and enjoy learning how to make different patterns and techniques. I so need the Angler. What other sewing tool do you love that Ive missed? I use the to mark seams, curves, topstitching lines, anything on the bag that I dont want to show. It glides right over the fabric. I use them to organize projects, so I dont borrow fabric from a project before u get to work on them. Mine developed rust spots on the sole plate. This is one of the few sewing supplies that you can find at any office supply store (Staples, Office Max, etc.) Sort of like a glue stick, this will help with glue basting your fabrics together, and the tip is small enough to keep the glue within the seam allowance. Heres a video I found of the Folded Corner Clipper in case youd like to see it in action. A necklace thread holder! I have used all of them in the past and they are a dream each ruler cuts multiple shapes, so you are getting the bang for your buck, and these are shapes that would be tedious to cut if you had to make a template from template plastic. It also gets the sides of the quilts pushed out and made just perfect. They are a great stiletto (I have never seen the pink one here) and just crack, not shatter, if hit by the machine needle. Its made of unfinished birch which gives it a nice crafty feel, in my opinion, and it has a sturdy shelf and hanging rails. One of my not so traditional quilting tools is a tweesers. I think Id like the Angler very much so! I keep a pair beside my sewing machine to clip threads, especially when I am sewing together multiple strips or blocks.
