Pure White is a very white paint color, but it does have a hint of a gray undertone. It can be hard to define white paint colors in terms of what they are, without also discussing what they are not. I think it'd be a great choice! The main living room space faces East, office faces North, BR faces South. House faces North also.

If you love the true, crisp whiteness of Extra White, but are looking for something a tad less bright and a little softer, then Pure White by Sherwin-Williams might be your answer. I'm being offered either one and am unable to get in and do tests. 
Do you mean Shoji White? It has an LRV of 83 (Pure Whites LRV is 84), and is a very similar depth of paint color to Pure White. I found your detailed information and comparisons so incredibly helpful! It does not come across as a really bright, stark white (LRV of 84) It has just enough softness to it (thanks to that little drop of gray) to stop it being in-your-face. Super White by Benjamin Moore is probably the closest paint color you can find to Extra White, without being an exact match. Additionally, we have Extra White on the walls in our coastal kids bedroom. But it is really ever so slightly warm. 
I actually have it in my living room, which also doesn't get a lot of natural light and tends to show yellow. On trim, it looks crisp, clean and bright, but not blue, yellow or dingy. I want to paint my adjoining kitchen also but want something a little brighter. I do think that Pure White is generally safer. I painted my large living room, hallways, and entrance in sojo white. Ill have to say again, the absolutely coolest way to check a color like this out in your home is with a wall sample from Samplize.com. Overall though, I would say that if you go with a white that is not as bright as your roof, more yellow or something, the exterior may look dingy against it.
